FRAZIER PARK, Calif. — The Frazier Park Public Utility District is advancing plans for a replacement and modernization effort involving new potable-water Well 8 and approximately 18,300 feet of distribution pipes in its service area.
According to the California State Clearinghouse project record, SCH No. 2026071097, the proposed work includes a new drinking-water well and pipe replacements in three areas: Summit, Lower Summit and Texas Trail.
Why replace underground pipes?
Older water distribution infrastructure can create challenges in pressure control, maintenance, water losses and emergency reliability. Replacing distribution lines can strengthen service, but projected benefits require completed construction and testing.
The district is seeking funding through the State Water Resources Control Board’s Division of Drinking Water. Its environmental documents were received in July 2026, with the formal review period scheduled between July 31 and August 31.
Has the project been finished?
No completion is established by the environmental record. Environmental review is one part of planning; final construction contracts, site work, commissioning and water-quality compliance are separate questions.
The project location identified in state records is near Mount Pinos Way and Frazier Park Mountain Road. Property owners should check the utility’s latest construction map for any disruption affecting a specific address.

Residents should not interpret this article as a drinking-water contamination notice: the environmental filing is about infrastructure, not a verified current safety violation.
